What data do we collect?
HUSrf processes personal data in the following contexts:
- Member register — name, address, contact details, date of birth, payment history and any boat information for the club's members.
- Event registration — name and contact details when signing up for races and events.
- Rental enquiries — contact details provided in connection with booking enquiries for the clubhouse and sauna.
- Gastbörsen — contact details and sailing background provided when registering for the crew placement service.
- Shop orders — name, delivery address and contact details when ordering from the club shop.
Purpose and legal basis
Personal data is processed to administer the club's operations, fulfil contractual obligations and comply with statutory requirements. The legal basis is legitimate interest for club administration and contract for bookings and orders.
Storage and deletion
Data in the member register is kept for as long as the membership is active, and in accordance with the Accounting Act (7 years) for financial transactions. Booking and order data is deleted within 12 months of the matter being closed.
Disclosure of data
Personal data is not passed on to third parties except where required to fulfil the club's obligations (e.g. race registration via Manage2Sail) or where required by law. Data in the Gastbörsen placement service is shared with matched skippers with the registered person's consent.

Complaints
If you consider that the processing of your personal data is contrary to data protection legislation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
Member register
HUSrf maintains a member register in accordance with the Associations Act (503/1989). The register contains the information necessary for club administration. Every member has the right to check their details in the register and request correction of any inaccurate information.
